HANDICAPPING SYSTEM ASSESSMENT
The perfect handicapping system is one that offers any competitor an equal chance to prevail. The charts below show the results during each session and will allow one to determine how any changes made to the existing handicapping system may have an impact. The best way to visualize this impact is to compare one result against a PREVIOUS result, keeping in mind that the ultimate goal is to have the largest percentage of players as close to a 50% Match Win percentage as possible. Remember that no handicapping system is perfect. Humans are imperfect and there will always be short term "variability factors" that are impossible to predict. However, at this time improvements are possible. A pink zone (between 40%-60% Match Wins) has been established as a measurement standard going forward. The Phase 1 goal is to move an overwhelming majority of the players into this zone. Can we do it? Can you imagine the intense competition if we can? Communicate with your captains so when they represent you at meetings, we hear the voice of the players. We ARE listening.
